Epilepsy Foundation: Care & Cure Dinner 2010

I know it's been some time folks, but don't give up on me.  The end of the school year was unexpectedly busy.  Vanessa and I pulled off a pretty awesome arts and crafts project for Sebastian's class.  I had no idea I was a glitter-paint kind of girl.

I'm working on the next post, but in the meantime, here's a video from the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles's Care and Cure fundraising dinner, held June 9.  Everyone at EFGLA did a phenomenal job, and we can't thank you enough for all you do.

Both of the pediatric neurologists in this video, Dr. Sankar and Dr. Hussain, care for Sebastian directly.  Dr. Sankar was one of the very first neurologists to see Sebastian, in the emergency room at UCLA.  Steven and I consider ourselves fortunate to have accessed doctors with the necessary expertise to handle our moment of crisis.  So many families wait for months, because there simply isn't enough funding to support the number of epileptologists needed to serve those affected.

We are profoundly grateful for the ongoing care and support we receive at UCLA.

Special thanks to Becketfilms, for making this video publicly available on YouTube.
